Hans E. Dineson, Sr. president and directing head of Electric Heater Company. By 1920 Hans had invented an electric water heater that was the answer to a large demand for such a device.

Harvey Hubbell Jr. expresses interest in the company and takes over the manufacturing of electric water heaters and incorporates, The Electric Heater Company in 1927.

The company does its part to support the war efforts meeting the governments demand for components and water heating products for the special applications needed by the US Navy, including marine specific water heaters and heating elements that we continue to develop, engineer, and manufacture to today's strict standards and specifications.

Hubbell is selected to supply water heating equipment to the U.S. NAVY's DDG-Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer Program. Today, Hubbell continues to supply the U.S. NAVY's fleets including surface and submarine vessels with specified water heating equipment.

Hubbell expands its tankless water heater division with the acquisition of Sets tankless water heaters extending its current line to include commercial, marine and booster tankless products.

Hubbell acquires Vaughn Thermal Corporation and its subsidiary, Vaughn Manufacturing. The acquisition expands both companies' product lines and enables new growth opportunities. Together, the two companies will meet a wider set of customer needs and have a significantly greater opportunity to grow into new markets.

Hubbell installs a rooftop solar array. The complete project consists of 426 individual PV Solar modules capable of generating over 91,000 kilowatt hours annually, resulting in the company generating over 40% of its own power from the sun and reducing Hubbell's carbon footprint by eliminating 71 tons of CO₂ annually.

2012
Hubbell recently completed a major renovation of their landmark 1917 industrial buidling. Together with Corporate Construction Inc. and H & R Design Inc. the company successfully achieved its vision of combing fresh contemporary styling with renewable resources maintaining the authentic industrial characteristics of its landmark building.

The renovation of the 9,000 square-foot space provides a modern office environment and includes an indoor cafe, state-of-the-art conference and recreation room and an employee fitness center.
