GENERAL
Provide a quantity of ____ packaged forced draft water heater(s) Model No.______________ as manufactured by
Hubbell, Stratford, CT. The pressure vessel section, including the combustion chamber and burner shall be mounted on a structural steel base and be suitably insulated, jacketed, painted, and provided with lifting lugs. The unit
shall be ready for service connections and shall bear the UL listing mark as well as approval by the California Energy Commission. PRESSURE VESSEL
The pressure vessel shall be ASME Code Section IV
stamped for 160psi working pressure and registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors and contain a minimum of _____ gallons of storage. The storage section shall be carbon steel (
rOptional Specification: Stainless Steel )
and internally lined with molten copper. For additional protection, a polymer overcoat shall be applied over the copper. As a further measure of protection, a sacrificial anode shall be factory installed in the storage vessel and shall include a tell tale indication device in order to notify maintenance personnel of a depleted anode.
RECOVERY

Each water heater shall be equipped with a
lower operating thermostat, upper operating thermostat (to act as an automatic resetting hi-limit), low water cut out with manual reset and test button, hi-limit with manual reset, drain valve, and an ASME approved automatic
reseating combination temperature and pressure relief valve set at 150 PSI and 210oF. BURNER CONTROLS

Factory assembled, piped, wired, and tested fuel burner complete with the following features: Dual operating and safety gas valves, flame sensing rod with 4 second safety shutdown, ultraviolet scanning (standard on LP
gas only), 30 second pre-purge, safety air flow switch, direct spark ignition with 6000 Volt transformer, and a 3450 RPM blower motor. Entire fuel burner assembly is to be UL listed and labeled. rOil (#1 or #2 fuel oil)
Factory assembled, piped, wired, and tested fuel burner complete with the following features: Cadium sulfide cell and relay control, direct spark ignition
with 10,000 Volt transformer, solenoid oil valves, 3500 RPM blower motor, and a 3500 RPM fuel pump. Entire fuel burner assembly is to be UL listed and labeled. OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT
In addition, the water heater shall be supplied with the following optional features:

WARRANTY
The water heater manufacturer shall warranty all components against defects in workmanship and material for a period of one (1) year from date of start-up, and the pressure vessel and
combustion chamber for a full five (5) years Non Pro-Rated (rOptional Specification: ten year (10) Pro-Rated ) from date of
start-up, provided that the unit is started within three (3) months of date of shipment and installed and operated within the scope of the heaters design and operating capability. Each water heater shall be shipped with a complete
set of installation and operating instructions including spare parts list and approved drawings. |
