Notes:
If an electric back-up heater is required, it is typically installed in the upper element bank position. On 120 gallon models only, an element can also be added in the lower element bank position. If this dual
heating element arrangement is desired, they will be wired for non-simultaneous operation to allow only one electric heater to come on line at one time. Electric back up heating is specified in the last part of
the model number. (1=upper position only, 2=upper and lower position).
A typical selection for a solar heater with electric back up is 4.5 KW at 240V 1Phase.
